Indefinite adjectives


An Indefinite Adjectives is similar to an Indefinite Pronoun, except that it modifies a Noun Phrase, Noun, or Pronoun, as in the sentences.



_ Many people in the country believe that corporations are under-taxed.


Indefinite Adjective {many} modifies the noun {people}, the Noun Phrase (many people) is the subject of the sentence.


_ He will send you any box mail that arrives after you have moved to the city.


The Indefinite Adjective (any) modifies the Noun (box), and the Noun Phrase (any box mail) is the direct object of the Compound Verb (very send).


_ They found a few goldfish floating belly up in the pound.


In the example above, the Indefinite Adjective modifies the Noun (goldfish) and the Noun Phrase is the direct object of the Verb (found).


_ The title of Marry' s favorite game is " All dogs go to heaven ".


In the example the Indefinite Pronoun (all) modifies (), and the full title is a Subject Complement.
